Open Call: Artist Advisory Group

20 January 2023

Amplifying the voices of artists in our strategic planning and delivery

Without Walls invites artists to submit an Expression of Interest to be considered for an Artist Advisory Group, a pilot programme designed to amplify the voices of a diversity of artists in the consortium’s planning and facilitate a collaborative conversation with the outdoor arts community.

Purpose of the Artists Advisory Group (AAG)

As part of our ongoing commitment to bringing more diverse voices into the strategic planning of the consortium, Without Walls is seeking artists to join an Artist Advisory Group (AAG). This will be a pilot programme of one year, which we plan on developing and growing over the coming years.

The main purpose of the AAG is to support the ambition of Without Walls through creative dialogue and critical feedback. The group will play an important role in informing the development of our programmes, ensuring that our delivery plans are informed by the voices of artists and reflect the needs of the network and wider sector.

There will be six to eight artists in the group. Members of the AAG will represent a range of artforms, skills and experience, reflecting the breadth of the outdoor arts ecology. There will be a range of ages, genders, socio-economic backgrounds, and career pathways within the group.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from those who are currently underrepresented across the outdoor sector, particularly people who are Black, Asian, ethnically diverse as well as those identifying as disabled, Deaf, learning disabled and neurodivergent.

Deadline for submissions: 12pm on Weds 1st March
Applicants informed of decision: w/c 20th March
