International promotion in 2018/2019
Between April 2018 and April 2019, the XTRAX team has represented and promoted Without Walls at four UK sector events (GDIF’s Festival Hub in London, Devoted & Disgruntled event in Newbury, Freedom Festival Outdoor Arts Seminar and XTRAX showcase in Hull, Derby Feste launch in Derby) and seven international events in Hungary (Sziget Festival), France (Cratère Surfaces in Alès and Circostrada General meeting in Elbeuf), Netherlands (Spoffin International festival in Amersfort), Spain (Fira Tàrrega) and South Korea (Seoul Street Arts Festival and Performing Arts Market Seoul).
Moreover, Maggie Clarke (Director of XTRAX) participated as a panelist speaker on behalf of Without Walls in the seminar on Artist development as part of the Freedom Festival Outdoor Arts seminar in Hull, and Irene Segura (Project Manager and International Relations at XTRAX) delivered a presentation on the consortium as part of the professional activities in Fira Tàrrega, Spain.
A strong international presence has also been ensured by having a stand at two key international sector events; one in Europe (Fira Tàrrega, Spain) and one in Asia (PAMS, Performing Arts Market Seoul).
All these activities have been supported by a marketing strategy to ensure that the Without Walls brand is visible and recognisable as sector-leaders, both nationally as well as internationally.
This has been achieved through printed material including Without Walls programme brochures (both for the commissioned shows as well as for the Blueprint programme), information booklets, publications on audience development and audiovisuals depicting Without Walls shows that are still touring.
Without Walls shows have continued to tour nationally and internationally, multiplying presentations across the United Kingdom as well as guaranteeing a presence in Europe, Asia and North America.
