Without Walls is looking for independent Board Members to join the governing body of one of the UK’s most exciting arts organisations. We are especially keen to attract people with backgrounds in finance, marketing and fundraising.

Without Walls works with some of the country’s leading festivals and arts organisations to support artists to create and tour new and ambitious outdoor work of all scales. These shows span all genres of performance, including dance, circus, theatre, installations, music and mixed art form works, and range from very large scale pieces to intimate work.
Without Walls’ work reaches audiences in their tens of thousands across the country and is proven to attract audiences who would never normally attend other kinds of arts events.

Supported by Arts Council England and other sources of funding, Without Walls is governed by a Board of Directors, who commit their time to ensuring that the company is run successfully and in line with its stated aims. Without Walls has Board Members drawn from the partner festivals and arts world, as well as a number of independent members, who bring different experiences and perspectives to the governing body.

Without Walls is now looking to expand its number of independent Board Members. The Board usually meets a minimum of four times a year, with up to four additional meetings for members who are also part of a Board subgroup. Joining the Board offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of an exciting arts organisation, internationally renowned in the field of outdoor arts, that takes high-quality work to audiences all over the country. Without Walls is a leader in its field and has an ambitious plan for the coming years. This is an unpaid position, though expenses will be offered for travel and accommodation as required to attend meetings.
