(i)LAND

How would it feel to find yourself shipwrecked? How would you survive? What tools what you need? Who would you want to be there with you?

In (i)Land three characters find themselves washed up on a desert island. Together they explore what it means to own and belong to that place, and whether there might be any chance of escape.

Performed on top of a six-ton pile of sand (i)Land explores themes of humanity, ingenuity and invention and asks us to think about what it would be like to be completely cut off from society.

Founded in 2008, Marc Brew Company fuses a fierce physicality with tender expression to explore an emotional narrative in dance. Grounded in contemporary technique and classical ballet and drawing on the unique physicality of each performer, the work with disabled and non-disabled artists is honest, unsentimental and recognisably human.
