Man Down

A Man Down is a raw, high-energy outdoor performance exploring the catastrophic impact of toxic masculinity. 

Combining visceral movement, Visual Vernacular and live beatboxing, our performers push themselves to breaking point as strength, control and vulnerability collide in public space. Gritty, physical and emotionally charged, the piece asks what happens when masculinity becomes performance – and what’s left when the mask finally slips.

Fuse Theatre is a Deaf-led Community Interest Company (CIC) led by Co-Artistic Directors Chris Fonseca and Harry Jardine. Founded in January 2024, Fuse creates bold, bilingual performances in British Sign Language (BSL) and English, placing Deaf talent centre stage.

In just two and a half years, Fuse has established itself as a dynamic new force in UK theatre – developing original productions, artist development pathways and cross-medium work for stage and screen. Fuse have just completed their first film and are currently developing a television series alongside its live theatre productions.
