The Torch

The Torch is a high-energy gig-theatre experience where Afrobeat, hip-hop, rap and storytelling collide – powered by live DJ decks and shimmering synths.

The cast multi-role as musicians and actors, slipping between characters and the band. With comedy, heartbreak and a beat-driven narrative about not fitting in, this show celebrates identity, legacy and the moment you finally discover your own light.

About Kobby Taylor

We are a four-piece multi-role gig-theatre ensemble blending live percussion, keys, grand harp, DJ decks and rap performance onstage. As musicians and actors, we switch fluidly between characters and the band, creating a vibrant mix of storytelling and live music. Our work is bold, entertaining and rooted in real experiences using rhythm, humour and heart to connect with audiences.

We aim to make theatre that feels like a concert and concerts that feel like theatre, bringing fresh, contemporary stories to the stage in a way that is inclusive, fun and unforgettable.
