VR Swing

by Studio Go Go

Digital, Installation

Remember swinging in the playground as a child: enjoying sensations of speed & weightlessness as you swooped high & low; laughing with friends, hoping they didn’t spot that you were a little scared? We’re harnessing those magical motion-memories to take audiences on incredible, action-packed adventures – now with three award-winning worlds to choose from!

Brendan Walker, Founder and Creative Director

Launch, flap, soar and glide your way across psychedelic skies in the Da Vinci flying machine of your choice; scoot, leap and stride through the geometric landscapes of VR Playground; or set off on a rip-roaring prehistoric adventure with Paper Dinosaurs.

About Studio Go Go

Studio Go Go creates immersive ride experiences for public spaces, festivals and family audiences.

Their work transforms swings, rides and real-world motion into shared experiences, combining physical interaction with synchronised digital storytelling.

Originally commissioned by Without Walls in 2017 as VR Playground, Studio Go Go’s VR Swing was conceived from the outset as a flexible touring format, designed to transport audiences through multiple immersive adventures and playful worlds.

Current VR Swing experiences include: VR Playground — geometric movement-play through surreal landscapes; a squadron of Da Vinci flying machines; and Paper Dinosaurs — a rip-roaring prehistoric adventure for family audiences.
