BLUEPRINT R&D 2025 OPEN CALL
Eligibility Timeline Access Guidance Documents and Proposal
The 2025 Blueprint Open Call supports the Research & Development (R&D) of bold and innovative outdoor arts projects. Blueprint is an opportunity for artists to experiment, collaborate, and refine new ideas. We recognise that developing ambitious work takes time, and this programme provides a space to explore and test creative concepts before committing to full production.
INTRODUCTION – AUDIO SUMMARY
We welcome proposals from UK-based artists across all disciplines. We’re looking for innovative, ambitious ideas that challenge perceptions of outdoor arts.
Key criteria
- Without Walls supports UK-led projects. Collaborations with international artists are welcome, but the lead partner must be UK-based.
- Proposals should be designed for outdoor arts festival touring, with artists committed to exploring opportunities beyond Without Walls festivals.
Without Walls is a leader in the development of exceptional outdoor art. We are a network of cultural organisations and festivals dedicated to bringing engaging, transformative work to communities across the UK. Given the competitive nature of Blueprint, we encourage proposals aligned with the needs of our network. Festivals in our network predominantly occur in urban environments during the summer. Consequently, we are not seeking proposals for:
- Site-specific work
- Public realm visual art
- Night-time-only performances
