Red Herring Productions

Based in Bideford, North Devon, we specialise in making and curating outdoor performance that blurs the edge between the performers and the audience, with opportunities to interact, play and experience familiar places in unfamiliar ways.

We have delivered two iterations of Stepping Out Festival, with work presented in both the town and local landscape settings. In 2024, this featured a new Red Herring show – The Egg Shack – commissioned by Landmark Theatres, involving a programme of community engagement including a community cast. We are looking forward to the peer-to-peer experience provided by the Creative Development Network, to share and learn from each other.
